Shiatsu first for May Ball

Event: Queens' May Ball
Date: Tuesday 21 June 2005
Venue: Queens' College, Cambridge, UK

Guests at Queens’ May Ball 2005 will have the opportunity to enjoy Shiatsu massage, thanks to the Cambridge Shiatsu Clinic.

Like some other balls, Queens’ will offer party goers the chance to relax in a special ‘chill out’ zone, but in a new move for a Cambridge college, authentic Shiatsu massage will be on offer. Liz Knox, a Member of the Register of the Shiatsu Society (UK), runs the Cavendish Road based Cambridge Shiatsu Clinic. Along with colleagues Julian Sedgwick, Nicole Soek and Teolita Nightingale, Liz will provide the relaxing, energising therapy throughout the evening.

Queens’ Ball Publicity Secretary Katie Boswell explained, ‘We wanted Liz Knox to be at the Ball to add that special touch which has given Queens’ May Ball its long-running reputation for excellence. Massage has traditionally been one of its highlights, but by collaborating with the Cambridge Shiatsu Clinic we are confident that we will make this year's Ball more memorable than ever, and guests will experience how invigorating this Japanese healing therapy can be. We are delighted to be working with Liz and her team to help make the Ball one of the best nights of people’s lives and to spread awareness of the joys of Shiatsu.’
